What an online HELOC requires
Each item below is a requirement or rule of at least one HELOC we offer.
- Identity and fraud checks that every applicant must pass.
- Income verified from connected bank account data, asset accounts, pay stubs or tax filings, your choice at one program.
- At that program, an option to connect to a supported tax provider for your tax data.
- At another, income shown in your last 30 days of deposits or your prior year, through a bank connection or documents.
- An automated home value, with a residential or exterior-only evaluation as a fallback.
- A credit score of 600 or higher, depending on the program and home.

How Does An Online HELOC Work?
You apply online, connect your accounts so income can be verified, and the home is valued with an automated model.
An online HELOC moves the paperwork into the application. At least one HELOC we offer uses fully automated underwriting, so its decisions come from the data you provide and the program’s rules. Bank account connections can take the place of mailing bank statements.
At another program, you choose how income is verified: connected bank account data, asset accounts, pay stubs or tax filings, and you can connect to a supported tax provider. You can also upload income documents in the application. For a line with no full appraisal, see HELOC without an appraisal.
The home is valued with an automated model at the programs we offer for this. If the model cannot value the home, a residential or exterior-only evaluation can be used. Every applicant still passes identity and fraud checks.
