What Is An LLC HELOC

A home equity line of credit on property titled to a limited liability company. Only some programs allow it.

Some home equity programs do not accept an LLC as the owner on title. At least one HELOC program accepts an LLC-owned property that is not a primary home, on lines up to $400,000, when a single member with at least 25% ownership applies.

Expect to document the company. On at least one program that includes the operating agreement, a certificate of good standing, and proof the LLC is registered in the U.S. Buying or refinancing the rental itself? See our LLC rental property loan.

A primary home held in an LLC is not eligible on at least one program that accepts LLCs. On that program, a second home or investment property is also not eligible in Texas or New York, or for a loan over $400,000.
